My long awaited trip to Malaysia is now in full swing and I am loving it, after originally thinking that I would blog and post photos each night, I quickly realized due to a busy schedule and limited internet access this wasn't going to happen.
I am lucky enough to visit a country where my mum and her partner Mark currently live and as a major added bonus Mark speaks Malaysian. So after arrival our first trip was straight down to the botanical gardens in Penang. It didn't take me long to pull out the camera and start snapping away and to our left is one of the flowers we found on our journey. I shot this with my 100mm f2 @ ISO 160, f2 and 1/2000 shutter speed. I also used some pink flowers in the background to add that little bit of something extra. We had a great time traveling around the gardens and I will be posting more of the images in my gallery. Please go and have a look, I would love to hear your feedback?
Next stop was Batu Ferringhi for dinner and a few cocktails, As the sun was setting I quickly snuck away down to the beach and took this shot of a young boy riding a horse with one of the locals leading the way. I shot this with my 17/40 f4 @ 17mm ISO 500, f16 and 1-100, In reflection I prob would taken my aperture down and shutter speed up but I am happy with the end result, It really takes me back to the moment I was there we also walking along the beach and took in all the sights aswell as get a well earnt foot massage. On the way back to the hotel we passed through all the local markets, It was a great way to start the trip, I went home and did all the post processing as I want to stay on top as I think I will shoot approx 10,000 photos over the 11 days. So thats its for day 1 but I will be posting a update and some more photos tomorrow. I look forward to chatting to you then :)
